What Does Amnion Mean?

"Amnion" is the Greek term for 'little lamb',  so called because lambs are protected in a bubble-like sac called the 'amnion'.

During the second week of life, a newly created human being begins to nest itself    in the soft lining of the mother's womb.   Cells soon develop to form the protective amnion which cushions, protects and insulates the developing baby.

Likewise, Amnion Crisis Pregnancy Center wants to be a safe place that protects troubled, pregnant women, their partners, and their pre-born child.
